A lady in her 40’s, named Sarah, loved the lord and got called by God into the mission field, When Sarah first answered the call to become a missionary, she was filled with the excitement, even though she was worried at some point, but had hope in God to help her through on the field.
As she started her missionary journey, some challenges started to show up that she doubted her calling. There were times she felt like she was not even making impact but she started to lean more in God, trusted him to help her overcome every of the challenges that came her way.
Every missionary has a story like Sarah’s, they face frustrating and discouraging moments where things don’t go as planned.
The journey of a missionary is filled with beautiful moments but also comes with various challenges. These challenges should not just be seen as obstacles but as stepping stones into what God has planned for us.
They also teach us lessons like:
1) Trusting more in God and not relying on our own capabilities.
2) Patience, waiting on God for his perfect time.
3) Courage
4) Perseverance.
Behind every missionary’s smile, is a journey that many don’t see.
