EDE VISIT REPORT

Date: 23rd June 2025.

Location: Owode-Ẹdẹ, Osun State.

Missionary: Pastor Jegede Joseph.

SUMMARY OF THE OUTREACH

The Living Streams Missions Network went on a missionary visit in Ẹdẹ Oṣùn State, involving interviews and welfare support.

Pastor Jegede Joseph of Rhema Life Commission Church, supported by his wife, a nurse and two children—used to be three but he lost his first son in March 2025.

Pastor Jegede used to reside in Lagos but left the convenience of his Lagos City life to obey the instruction of God to equip His saints in Ẹdẹ with his family.

His story is a typical example of forsaking all to follow Jesus.

Our visit included an interview with the missionary and his family, and welfare items for the family’s upkeep.

From the interview, he shared more about the scope of his ministry, the impact of his ministry so far, the challenges he is currently facing, his pressing family needs, and ongoing ministry needs and projects.

The interview with the children focused on the needs and deprivation they have suffered as children of full-time pastors, their career prospects and how they can be assisted to make their career dreams become a reality.

Ministry Focus

He pastors a church beside his house and also organises outreaches, seminars, and conferences to train pastors and ministry leaders on how to reach the unreached people apart from the conventional way.

Family Needs

— The cost of higher institutional training for both children.

— Foodstuff and items for their daily upkeep.

Ministry Needs

— Completion of the church building project.

— A big generator.

Our Welfare Support Package

We presented the family with a welfare package including foodstuff and food items.

We believe that more supplies will pour in to meet up with more needs of the family and ministry as you give generously.

Conclusion.

A missionary once said, “If you want to help a missionary, take the burden of School fees and rent off his neck”.

Not to say that other needs don’t exist but taking these two responsibilities off them will relieve them a lot and they can focus more on their ministry.
