If good Friday revealed the depth of God’s love, Easter reveals the power of his love. But without His resurrection, the cross is still incomplete. The cross was not the end; he died and rose on the third day.
Resurrection of Jesus Christ is what gives the gospel power. It is the proof that everything Jesus said and did was true. 1CORINTHIANS 15:14
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of our hope in Christ. It is the assurance we have that sin has been defeated, death has been conquered and life has been restored to us.
His resurrection tells us that a new life is possible in Christ. No matter how bad we think our life is, no life is too broken or spoilt to be worked on by God.
As the tomb is empty, now we have restoration.
As the stone was rolled away from the tomb, every limitation and setback also rolled with it.
He already overcame death for you. “Where, o death, is your victory? Where, o death, is your sting?” 1cor 15:55. Death, sicknesses, failure all lost their power on me the moment Jesus rose up.
Before His resurrection, there was fear among the disciples. They were all scattered and afraid of their lives, Peter even denied Jesus three times, but after the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST, something changed in them. “With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus”. Acts 4:33.
When we hold on to our reality of his resurrection, the boldness to preach the gospel rises, we stop hesitating whether to go or not. We will see the message of the gospel as urgent.
However, there are times when mission seem tiring, our prayers seem unanswered, but we must know that God is still our help. “Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning”. Psalm 30:5
God is our strength.
JESUS CHRIST IS RISEN!!!
