GOOD FRIDAY: THE CROSS THAT STILL CALLS US

What a day full of very brutal pain, public shame, and oppression for our LORD JESUS CHRIST, yet he did it for us. He gave his whole life so we can all live a redeemed life.

The depth of God’s love for us was revealed that day: Sacrificial love…. hmm!

“For God so love the world that he gave his only begotten son…” (John 3:16). This was a demonstration of his love towards us and God’s love is the message of the mission.

Good Friday is the heartbeat of kingdom mobilization as it is the birthplace of the gospel. Without this day, there would be no forgiveness for sin, no redemption, no message of hope to the broken-hearted and there would be no mission as well.

The world is still waiting. Waiting in places where the name of Jesus has not been heard, there are still burdened hearts, waiting in pain, searching for hope, so we must go to the mission field and reach out for these souls. Though it may not be easy, we could get fed up but we must know that we are fulfilling God’s purpose for us on earth. The joy of the lord is our strength. If we have not been engaging in mission, this is time to do so, it is not too late to join the mission work as we must not get carried away by the mundane things in this world. “For what shall it profit a man if he gains the world but loses his own soul?”  (Mark 8:36)

Good Friday is not just a remembrance, but it is also a call to be part of the mission, to join those on the mission field, to pray for those on the field and support the work.

The cross is our message,

The cross is our mandate,

So, we must go,

We must pray,

We must give and proclaim.

LET THE MESSAGE OF THE CROSS BE YOUR HEARTCRY!!!
